Buffet line opens at 7:00 for Breakfast.


September 4th: Lion Renee Francey, a director of the Texas Lions Camp, will present a program on the camp.

September 18th: (Note the date change) Children's Film Festival Fundraiser starts at 9am. Address is 3800 Dallas Parkway in Plano. This is one of the largest and most important fund raisers in our Lions year. Movie 1 is "Madagascar 2", and Movie 2 is "Hotel for Dogs".

Note to the public: The Plano Early Lions Club is using a telemarketing company to spread the word about the Children's Film Festival and to sell tickets. Funds raised at this event are used to support Lions Clubs charities and our scholarship programs.

September 18th Regular meeting. Our program will be the Children's Film Festival (see above). We will meet for breakfast (Come early! Buffet opens at 7am) and adjourn at 8:15 or earlier to go to the film festival to welcome the families as they arrive. You don't have to stay for the movies, but you can if you want!

October 2nd Regular meeting. Program: (TBD)

October 16th Regular meeting. Program: (TBD)

October 16th Service Project from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church on Plano Parkway in Plano, there will be a K-9 Konvention sponsored by the Plano Early Lions Club. It will be a family oriented, fun filled event. Pets can be entered in several categories ranging from Best Tail Wagging to Terrific Pet Tricks.

Sponsors are needed to help with this project. Sponsorship levels range from $50 to $1000. Interested sponsors can contact either LIONS Jay Lewis (972-424-8881), or Karen Marks (214-563-4156). Proceeds from this project will be used to help Plano based non-profits such as CASA, Habitat for Humanity, and Plano Children's Medical Clinic. Funds are also used for College Scholarships for PISD students.

Volunteers and judges are also needed and can sign up by calling either LIONS Jay or Karen.

December 11th Fundraiser Christmas Parade.

Meetings of the board of directors are open to any Plano Early Lions Club member.


If you have any eyeglasses or eyeglass cases you would like to donate, take them to any of the convenient drop-off points.
